| This remake placed most of its value in the effects that the modern era has allowed and altered the plot to fit today's global issues. Although this movie is not bad, a fan of the original would not find it to be of great quality. The plot alterations consist of the threat not being humans carrying violence elsewhere, but instead damaging the environment and planet that they do not deserve and the only resolutions being destruction or a change in human ways. Also, there is little to no doubt that the alien is bad, which given the agenda is fitting. |
